I PRAY THE BLESSING AND PROMISE OF GOD'S HEALING ON YOU: THE PRAYER OF FAITH.
I declare the Word of God that says in Psalms 41:3 LORD, You will uphold us even on our sickbed; You will transform our bed of illness into health. I declare this over everyone reading this. Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I turn to You in all times, in sickness and in health, in good and in bad. But today I turn to You for help in my physical weakness. I declare Your Word Father that says in Psalm 107:20 that You issued, You released, Your command and have healed us; You have delivered us from our destruction. Father, You have sent Your healing Word to Your servant by the Name of my Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Person of the Holy Spirit and I believe it and I receive it. In the Name of Jesus, I proclaim all infirmity and sickness be driven from my body. Dear Lord, You are the Just judge, Holy and True. You are the Most High God. It is You gives me life. You hold all power in your hands and I stand upon this truth. You are the Mighty One who carries the world, and is ruler over all the universe and the earth. I declare that it is You, Oh Most Blessed One, who is the giver of life. In You are only good things and I am in You. In You is mercy and love. In You is healing of every sickness. In you is freedom from all pain. Precious Lord, You love me so much. You were sent from the Father, sent to save me from destruction and present me as a spotless, pure body before the Father as His inheritance. You carry all knowledge and all power over my body, soul and spirit. I may know the symptoms Lord, but You see my inner most and know the root of my need. You Lord are my medicine. Your Words Lord are Truth and Life. Lord, by faith, I declare that You have turned my weakness into strength, my suffering into compassion, my sorrow into joy, and my pain into comfort for others. As Your servant I place all my trust in your goodness and in your faithfulness. I declare that I have been restored to full health, dear Father, for Your Name's sake and for Your glory. I confess all fear and doubt from this heart and declare it under the authority of Your Word, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and may You, Lord, be glorified through his life. AMEN

The strength we need to live a godly life does not come from excessive sorrow or despair, but from our joy in the Lord. Anyone can be unhappy and miserable. In fact, here is an oxymoron. It seems many believers are at their happiest point when they are sharing death and destruction and pain that has happened to someone. If this was not true the TV News channels would not report all the death and destruction, they would report all the good things that are happening in the world. Instead, they report 59 minutes of despair and leave the closing one minute for a feel good story. We need to walk in joy. We need good news. We need to be happy.
Despair does not promote growth. Despair does not promote transformation. Despair does not promote thanksgiving, praise, and worship. Despair knows no victory over temptation and trial. Joy is the fruit and power of the Holy Spirit that produces a successful, victorious, fruit-bearing Christian. It has been my conviction that the reason why many of our brethren do not grow spiritually and do great works for the Lord is because they lack the spiritual fruit of the joy in their lives. Paul says this about the Kingdom of God. Romans 14:17 ESV For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Why then are so many members of the Lord’s Church lacking in peace and joy? Well, part of the problem may be that we lack pulpit preaching that focuses on generating peace and joy within our brethren. There is a lot of preaching about the end times in these days. Some from the "pre-tribulation" camp and some from the "post-tribulation" camp. In both I have seen and heard a lot of "FEAR" messages in bringing forth their point-of-view. Whatever your "end-time" position we are not to be driven by the fear of these last days. We are not called by God to be survivors, but overcomers. We are not to fear the future, but we are to fear God. Life in our Lord Jesus Christ is not a life that is miserable, dry, negative, and defeated. Our life in Christ is filled with joy. 1 Peter 1:8 ESV Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, One of the fruit of the Holy Spirit is JOY which is also the character of God. I think that we need to examine our ministries and see how we might foster joy and peace in our membership. We have got to understand that "the joy of the Lord is the our strength" and "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me". If I really want to do the "all things" I need my Lord's strength. If I want His strength then I need to walk in His joy. The Christian's life should be characterized by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. One of the fruit listed in Gal.5:22 is the fruit of JOY.
Galatians 5:22-23 ESV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. I have seen many unhappy believers not having the JOY of the Holy Spirit being manifested. The opposite of walking in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is to walk in the fresh. Paul tells us to walk in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh. One of the desires of the flesh is sorrow. Sorrow is an ungodly grief birthed mainly out of selfishness. However, there is a Godly sorrow. The ungodly, fleshly sorrow of the flesh leads to self-piety and can lead to depression. The Godly sorrow leads us to the Joy of the Lord as an end result. In our spiritual lives, a godly sorrow for our sins can be a wonderful thing. Paul speaks of its benefits in 2 Corinthians 7:10. 2 Corinthians 7:10 ESV For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. When we realize how we have fallen short of the righteousness and holiness of God, how we have offended Him, how we have rejected His will and rebelled against the One who is so loving and kind, it should generate remorse within our hearts. It should cause us grief, shame, and sorrow to sin against the Holy One of Israel. Such sorrow is good if it brings us to repentance. It is beneficial if it causes us to humble ourselves, confess our sins, seek His gracious forgiveness, and motivate us to make the decision to change our ways. These steps lead us to the obtaining of salvation of the full man. God desires that we have this kind of sorrow and remorse. This kind of sorrow is essential in getting us to where we should be in a holy walk and lifestyle. We should feel about sin the way the Father feels about sin. When this happens and we repent, we experience the Joy of the Lord. However, this is opposite of the ungodly fleshly sorrow, which is not from God nor is it the will of God. This sorrow is counter-productive. This is excessive sorrow or despair. Brothers and sisters, it is destructive when we continue to feel grief, guilt, shame and sorrow AFTER we have been convicted of our sins, AFTER we have confessed them to God, AFTER we have sought forgiveness and made the commitment to change. This means we are not trusting God and His Word about what He says about our lives in Christ. After confession and forgiveness, God wants to replace the grief and sorrow with holy gladness and joy. GOD IS! IT'S NOT JUST WHAT HE DOES BUT WHO HE IS:
GOD IS SPIRIT: John 4:24 KJV God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. GOD IS LIFE AND GOD IS LIGHT: John 1:4-8 KJV In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. GOD IS LOVE: 1 John 4:8 KJV He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE: Hebrews 12:29 KJV For our God is a consuming fire. The statement that GOD IS SPIRIT means that He cannot be confined to a physical body, nor to dimensions of space and time. He is the Invisible, Eternal God who was, who is, and who will be: John 1:18 KJV No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Because God is Spirit, He can say: Matthew 28:20 KJV Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 18:19-20 KJV Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Hebrews 13:5 KJV Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. GOD IS! The conscience of man is defined as an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one's behavior. The inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action. To have a seared conscience means that the person can do whatever wrong or immoral act thinkable and feel no remorse or sense of wrong or guilt.
A person who is not saved, (born again), has a conscience that is corrupted and separated from God and the things of God. The lost mans' conscience is formed by culture, society, parental influence, peer pressure, education, and religious influence. All of these things together make up the moral standards or the lack of moral standards of a lost person. Two brothers in the same family could have completely different “moral standards” based on the different influences within their lives, such as having different friends, reading different types of books, or different media input. How many times have you heard about someone who is on drugs or in trouble with the law state that they got into the “wrong crowd”? But mankind did not start out with a moral conscience. When God created Adam and Eve they had a righteous conscience or God-conscience. What is the difference? A righteous conscience is typified by having “GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS” and is “SELFLESS”. But a moral conscience is typified by having a “SELF CONSCIOUSNESS” and is “SELFISH”. EXAMPLE: Adam was unclothed before he was naked. When he walked in the righteous God-conscience he was unclothed and was selfless in his thinking. When he sinned his unclothed state became nakedness and he moved into self-consciousness which is selfishness. How do we know this to be true. Read Genesis 3 and you will find that Adam and Eve who were husband and wife hid from one another when they sinned and lost righteousness or God-consciousness. A “God-Consciousness” among men is a Theocracy or the rule of God over everything. This is where man is consumed with the praise and worship of God the Father. A “Self Consciousness” among men is a democracy (or other forms of man’s political rule), which is the rule of man over everything. In this man is consumed with the worship of himself, (or humanism). God, though our Lord Jesus Christ and the work of the cross, desires to bring us back to the state of God consciousness by robing us in His righteousness. Ephesians 5:18-21 ESV And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, (19) addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, (20) giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (21) submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer. Some may be immature, weak and imperfect, but if we have been “born again” of the Spirit (See Jn.3:3-7), the Holy Spirit dwells in us (See 1 Cor.6:19, Rom.8:9). It is one thing for us to have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, but does the Holy Spirit "have us" that He may fill us with abundant life? The abundant life is not found in environment or circumstances, or in the things we may possess. It is found in the infilling of the Holy Spirit. “Be filled with the Spirit" (See Eph.5:18) is a command. We may be filled many, many times. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be Spirit- possessed, Spirit-empowered, Spirit-led and Spirit–controlled. It is a yielding up our lives daily as we die to self and living according to God's will and ways. 1. We are filled with the Spirit that we might have joy. 2. We are filled with the Spirit for service. 3. We are filled with the Spirit for power to be a bold witness. 4. We are filled with the Spirit for the hour of persecution. 5. We are filled with the Spirit that we may “walk in the Spirit” and not fulfill the desires of the flesh. 6. We are filled with the Spirit that we may be led by the Spirit. 7. We are filled with the Spirit that we might have a song in our hearts. 8. We are filled with the Spirit that we might submit to one another. How can we be filled with the Holy Spirit? First: We must desire Him to fill us. Second: We must ask Him to fill us. Third: We must believe that He does fill us. Fourth: We must yield up control of our mind/thoughts, emotions/feeling, will/choices, and our physical body to the will and ways of the Holy Spirit. This is called "dying to self." Paul said, "I die daily." To properly deal with anger we must first see our need. To properly deal with anger we must see the seriousness of the sin from God's viewpoint.
Many people, when angry, simply will not admit their anger. They say, "I am NOT angry!" Others admit that they have a temper but do not see it as a serious sin or even an issue. Actually, temper is one of the worst sins as far as having deep consequences in the Word of God. The Bible lists uncontrolled anger along with such sins as drunkenness, witchcraft, adultery, and murder and says that those who continue to do these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 ESV Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, (20) idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, (21) envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. We would not see anger as no big deal but God places it in the list with gross sexual sins. Temper is simply not acceptable in the life of a Christian. The Bible says, Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. (32) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Unless we see the seriousness of our temper and determine to be delivered from it, we will not overcome it. If we are satisfied to go on as we have been going, we will know nothing of God's victory over the sin of our temper. In seeing our need we must not excuse our temper and anger as just the way we are and being a part of our personality. This would be justifying sin. The Father desires that we walk in His love, mercy and grace at all times, even when our "buttons" are being pushed and we are being provoked. |
