SPIRITUAL PROPAGANDA IN THE PULPIT:
Without consent on the part of the hearer, without this need for propaganda by practically every citizen of the technological age, propaganda could not spread.
Therefore it is not just a wicked propaganda machine at work which has established means to ensnare the innocent citizen. There is a citizen who craves propaganda from the bottom of his being.
This is why news stations compete so strongly for our attention. They are not just seeking to get their propaganda message out. They are seeking to gain the largest audience by responding to the cravings of the listeners. Those who deliberately feed information of a biased or misleading nature, to promote or publicize a particular political or spiritual cause or point of view could not exist without potential hearers of lies.
Now apply this to what is being preached from our pulpits each week. Are the preachers speaking a Word from God or is it a message derived from the desires of the hearts of the hearers?
