There are certain attributes of God which we will call MORAL ATTRIBUTES, because they are shared to a limited degree with redeemed man, and pertain to character, and conduct.
The Moral Attributes of God speak of the GOODNESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS of God. And to think, all of this dwells in us and is now our character as believers. For more study read these Scriptures: (Leviticus 11:44-45; Isaiah 6:1-7; 1:1-20; Romans 1:7; 6:19-22; 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 4:24; 1 Thessalonians 3:13; 4:7; Titus 2:3; Hebrews 12:10-14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2 Peter 3:11) Leviticus 11:44-45 ESV For I am the LORD your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground. (45) For I am the LORD who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." God is a Holy God and He requires holiness of His people. But what exactly is Holiness? Holiness: “Dedicated to religious use, belonging to or coming from God, consecrated, sacred, spiritually perfect or pure, untainted by evil or sin, sinless, and saintly.” Holy: The Hebrew word is “quadosh:” and means "Those things which in any way pertain to God, or His worship. Things declared sacred, free from defilement of vice, idolatry, worldly compromise, and other impure and profane things." Holy: The Greek word is “hagios:” and means "Those things such as our lives, talents, gifts and resources, which are dedicated to God, holy, sacred, reserved for God and His service, pure, perfect, worthy of God, and consecrated.” The basic idea of Holiness, as applied to God, is that of separation and exaltation, absolute perfection of character. Far more mention is made in Scripture of God's Holiness than of His Power, Wisdom and Omnipresence combined. The Scriptures establish the Holiness of God long before they picture His Love. Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers repeatedly portray the God of Holiness. It is not until we come to Deuteronomy 4:37 that we find an outright declaration of His Love, and that is given in a context of awe-inspiring Holiness. Deuteronomy 4:37 ESV And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power, As applied to men or things, the primary meaning of holiness is dedication and consecration, the quality of being separated to God. Things are holy that are DEDICATED EXCLUSIVELY to God or His worship and service. Anything is holy which wholly belongs to God, as His temple with its utensils and furnishings.

THREE DECEPTIONS THAT THE DEMONIC, THE LOST WORLD, AND THE RELIGIOUS SYSTEM TELL ABOUT THE GOSPEL:4/19/2019 There are three deceptions the enemy, the world, and religion uses in the lives of people concerning the Gospel message.
The FIRST DECEPTION is having a Gospel that displays a form of godliness yet denies its power and life. The only victory is in the sky, by-in-by, when I fly away one day. This robs people of the hope and joy of all that God the Father has in store for us on this side of eternity. The SECOND DECEPTION is having a Gospel which is a misleading gospel or an inadequate truth, therefore, it cannot set people free. It only satisfies the need to be religious. This gospel only talks about having our sins forgiven but does not reveal the fact that God has defeated our old sin nature and given us a new nature and an incorruptible seed. We have the nature of Christ within us. The THIRD DECEPTION is having a Gospel that brings a counterfeit salvation, which is "a costless way." It is a gospel message lacking self-denial and is a message filled with self-satisfaction. Freedom abused is bondage. To be truly saved is free and an act of faith and grace. However, to walk daily with the Father costs us our lives. We are to die daily. It is not a costless salvation. Some ask me to come in agreement with them without my knowing what they are praying for. Now listen, it is no use asking me to come in agreement for something that might be unscriptural.
The prayers I hear from some believers are either unscriptural or the Bible has already given the answer. I don’t have to ask God in prayer for something that the Word has already told me to do. I don’t have to pray if I should be a part of the local assembly of saints for training, fellowship, and accountability. God has already commanded me in Scriptures not to forsake the gathering of the saints. When I was a young single Christian I did not have to pray about marrying a lost person. The Scriptures already command us to not be unequally yoked. We don’t need to pray about something that is already in the Word, we just need to hear, trust, and obey. Don’t try to believe God for something that is unscriptural or something which goes against the Character of God. Prayer should not be a religious activity just so we can say that we did it. Prayer needs to be an activity of faith and not just a religious tradition. To do so we need to hear the “Rhema” Word or uttered Word. We can’t have faith for something beyond knowledge. We can’t have faith for something beyond the Word of God. Ephesians 6:18 ESV praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, “All prayer” means all manner of prayer or all different kinds of prayer. We should pray how often? Always! We are always on call by the Holy Spirit. We don’t need to see how long we can pray but how fast we can enter into prayer. Many stress how long they can be in prayer, that is two hours, four hours. But the key is how fast do we call on the name of the Lord in prayer? To pray is not the key! A small, short prayer in faith according to the Word is far more successful then thousands of hours of prayer that is prayer for prayers sake. I have an assignment for you. Effective prayer is prayer in the Spirit. If you are not doing it, learn how to pray in the Spirit. Walking down the street or wherever you are or whatever you are doing and the Lord happens to lay someone on your heart, than pray for them. Get a day timer, or small book, or use your iPhone to keep dates and people you are praying for. Chart your prayer ministry. If we are not living a life in the Spirit then we are a dull blade. I don't like trying to cut meat or tomatoes with a dull knife. A dull blade causes us to work harder. It is not just important that we pray, but that we learn to pray correctly in agreement with the activity of God. Prayer is not an end in itself. We all know that the enemy is the accuser of the brothers. But what does he accuse? What are his weapons and tactics? How can we use the Word of God to keep from being a part of the accuser's plans?
There are 5 different accusations the enemy uses in order to keep the believer defeated and the body of Christ divided. 1. He accuses us to God. He will go before God and accuse us before God as not loving Him. 2. He accuses God before us. He will to come to us with the accusation that God does not care for us and does not really love us. 3. He accuses us to others. He will go to others and speak lies in their ears which are accusations about us. 4. He accuses others to us. He will tell us bad things, lies and accusations against others so that we would judge them and criticize them. 5. He accuses us to us. He will tell us that we are no good, dumb, not forgiven, and that we will never amount to anything. When we believe the accusations against ourselves we walk in rejection and as a victim and limit the work of God in our lives The only to fight these is to read and know the Word of God. We need to know what the Word says about how God speaks over us and how much He loves us. We need to know the Word of God about how we are not to give or receive gossip, false accusations, or slandering, bur we are to exalt and build up one another in love. We need to know what the Word of God says about us in Christ. We are sons and heirs of the kingdom of God. I know that it is easier to believe a lie than t believe the truth. It is a part of the fallen nature that we battle. That is why we need to fill our mind and heart with the truth of God's Word and not with the lies of man or the enemy. Revelation 12:10 ESV And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. TIME: Our most precious commodity.
What is important to you today? Those things that are important to us are the things which we will spend our time on. Time is our most precious commodity in that we can't save it and we can't get back what we wasted. What we can do is redeem time. That means to spend it wisely. It is making each moment count for the most. We are not promised the next breath, so make the most out of this one. I would like to address the importance of the things we think and feel. In any given day we spend the largest part of that day thinking and feelings certain ways. Therefore, we are spending time on those thoughts and those feeling. We make judgment calls or decisions each day concerning the things we think and feel. We must make a judgment or decision about the Word of God and the love of God. These are emotions and thoughts that are tied directly to our time. How are we spending it? Here is the judgment or decision...that the Word of God and the love of God are more important then stinking thinking and bad emotions. Therefore, having made that decision and that judgment call we can exchange the time we spend on bad feelings and thoughts for that which is more important which is God's Word and God's love. It is why Paul said, "Think on these things." However, if our bad emotions and bad thinking is more important to us, then it does not matter how true God's Word is or how much God loves us...we will waste our valuable time walking in something that does not count in eternity. Philippians 4:7-8 ESV And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (8) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Romans 12:2 ESV Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. It would be a point for us to remember that when our Lord Jesus Christ spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness being tempted by the enemy He used the Word of God to overcome His tempter.
I have been in many doctrinal conversations with believers who responded to me with “I don’t believe what you are saying because my church doesn’t teach that.” What our church and denomination teaches will deem very insignificant when we are in the fire and are being tempted by the enemy unless the church and denomination is teaching the truth of God’s Word. We no longer need to be satisfied with words that imply truth, philosophies that exalt man’s intellect, and convenient doctrines that allow freedom to be worldly and sinful. We need to be fed that which is truth and life from God’s Word and not given the powerless, fruitless traditions and religious teachings of man. When the tempter comes, and come he will, we need to be armed with THE WORD OF GOD and have the boldness to say verily, verily I say to you... Matthew 4:4 ESV But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” John 6:32-35 ESV Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. (33) For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” (34) They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” (35) Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. There is a lot of preaching about what we are to "GO AFTER" and get in the Christian life.
Some groups would say that we need to get healing over everything. Some groups would say that we need to get riches and prosperity over everything. Some groups would say that we need to get Bible knowledge over everything. Some groups would say that we need to get Christian disciplines over everything. Some groups would say that we need to get Church attendance over everything. All of these have a place in the Christian life but they are not the key things that we are to seek after. In fact, many are a result or by-product of seeking the right things. We need to seek the KNOWLEDGE of God and His ways: Hosea 4:6 ESV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. We need to seek the WISDOM of God and His ways: Proverbs 4:5-7 ESV Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. (6) Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. (7) The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. We need to seek the FEAR of God and His ways: Psalms 111:10 ESV The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! WARNING: We can become so well-adjusted to our culture that we just FIT into it without realizing that we have become worldly. We are to fix or set our attention on God. Doing this will cause us to be changed from the inside out. We will then readily recognize what HE wants from us, and we will be in a position to quickly respond to it. If we are fixed on the culture and society around us we will need to get its permission to do God's will because it will always be dragging us down to its level of immorality and darkness. Only a life committed to the will and ways of God will bring the best out of us and develop well-formed true maturity in us. Origin of Easter - Its Pagan Roots
American history teaches us that Easter was dismissed as a pagan holiday by the nation's founding Puritans and did not begin to be widely observed until just after the Civil War. Those interested in a Christian view of American history and the gradual compromise of America's Biblical foundations may wish to read books such as "The Light and the Glory" by Peter Marshall and David Manuel. The origin of Easter dates back to ancient times, not long after the global flood recorded in Gen.6-9. Nimrod, a grandson of Noah, had turned from following his grandfather's God and had become a tyrannical ruler. According to the biblical record, as king, Nimrod created Babel, Ninevah, Asshur, Calla and other cities, all known for lifestyles that promoted unspeakable evil and perversion. When Nimrod died, his wife, Queen Semiramis, deified him as the Sun-god, or Life Giver. Later he would become known as Baal, and those who followed the religion Queen Semiramis created in Nimrod's name would be called Baal worshippers. They became associated with idolatry, demon worship, human sacrifice and other practices regarded as evil. The origin of Easter involves the birth of Queen Semiramis' illegitimate son, Tammuz. Somehow, Queen Semiramis convinced the people that Tammuz was actually Nimrod reborn. Since people had been looking for the promised savior since the beginning of mankind, they were persuaded by Queen Semiramis to believe that her illegitimate son, Tammuz was that savior. She convinced them that he had been supernaturally conceived. Before long, in addition to worshiping Tammuz (or Nimrod reborn), the people also worshiped Queen Semiramis herself as the goddess of fertility. In other cultures, she has been called Ishtar, Ashtur and yes, Easter. The origin of Easter goes back to the springtime ritual instituted by Queen Semiramis following the death of Tammuz, who, according to tradition, was killed by a wild boar. Legend has it that through the power of his mother's tears, Tammuz was "resurrected" in the form of the new vegetation that appeared on the earth. According to the Bible, it was in the city of Babel that the people created a tower in order to defy God. Up until that time, all the people on the earth spoke one language. The building of the tower led God, as recorded in Gen.11:7, to confuse their tongues to keep them from being further unified in their false beliefs. As the people moved into other lands, many of them took their pagan practices with them. Contemporary traditions such as the Easter Bunny and the Easter egg can also be traced back to the practices established by Queen Semiramis. Because of their prolific nature, rabbits have long been associated with fertility and its goddess, Ishtar. Ancient Babylonians believed in a fable about an egg that fell into the Euphrates River from heaven and from which Queen Astarte (another name for Ishtar, Easter or Semiramis) was "hatched." PASSOVER: The great feast of Passover representing the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ starts this year at sundown on Friday, April 19th and goes to sundown Saturday April 27th.
Salvation: What a sweet indescribable gift from God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, by way of faith. However, I believe that the gift of salvation, as simple as it is, has been cheapened and watered down through the traditions of man. The sweet, precious gift of salvation of our Lord has been belittled and corrupted by the church to an act of praying a simple prayer. Prayers to do save people. Our Lord Jesus Christ saves people. Millions of people pray many times a day from many different religions and to many different gods. I remember being lost in the woods when I was younger. What a strange and frightful feeling. I remember almost drowning twice as a teenager. I almost drown in a river at the age of 15 and then again at the age of 17. Again I repeat it is a frightful experience when you see your life slipping away. Twice I lay on operating tables in hospitals when my heart stopped, once at the age of 25 and again at the age of 52. In all of these situations there was awareness on my part that I was in need of life-saving assistance and in each situation someone came to my rescue. I could not have my life protected unless I realized that I was in danger of dying and someone outside of me was going to help me. The same is with the gift of salvation from our Lord Jesus Christ. I must realize that I am lost and cannot save myself before I can truly exercise faith to receive God’s salvation. We need to move away from the “easy believe-ism doctrine” that has cheapened the gift of God and the work of the cross. We really need to have a thirst for God and His righteousness to be filled. As an example we see this desperation in Ps.42:1-2. The Hebrew word for “panteth” means to “cry out” and to “long for”. The word “thirsteth” means to “suffer thirst”. Ps.42:1-2 To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. [2] My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? When we thirst for the Lord, we come to Him to get what we do not deserve, cannot earn, and cannot purchase. We should know that the things which are really important are not food, drink, and the clothes we have. The Kingdom of God is not made up of these things. This is important because there are those who try to come to the Lord to fix or improve their social, economic, or relational status and these things are not of the kingdom of God. Salvation, a free gift from the Father, but it is not cheap! Gut Check: The time for an opportunity to be offended.
It is these types of teaching that reveal if we want truth of status quo. Don't rock the boat Pastor, everything is going fine. God the Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob established seven feasts for His people. Each of these feasts carry a great significance and are God's calendar and timetable for history and end times events. However, most within the church are unaware of these seven feasts because they have elected to celebrate the man-made substitutes. Easter is not Passover. It never was nor can it ever be. Easter has nothing to do with the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, soon many well meaning Christians will be running around with "happy Easter" and doing all the things that are associated with this man-made celebration. With just a little bit of study and investigation one will find that our Lord was telling the truth when He said that He needed to be in the grave THREE days and THREE nights. Imagine that, our Lord speaking the truth about His life and death. (Num.23:19 God cannot lie). If I cannot believe the Lord Jesus in His statement of 3 days and 3 nights in the grave, can I believe anything He says? But if I can change the Word of God to fit what I want to do in the 3 days and 3 nights, what keeps me from changing anything in the Word to fit whatever I deem right in my own eyes. In our worldly wisdom we try to fit three days and three nights from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning as though what our Lord spoke does not matter. In fact, with a little research one would find that our Lord died at 3pm on a Wednesday and raised on a Saturday. I will prove this, not only from the Word of God but by theologians from major respected colleges verifying what I am about to teach. One would find with a little investigation that the Friday to Sunday celebration was given to us, complete with all the other religious junk of Easter by the Catholic church. Oh, we can explain worshipping Easter as being a great evangelistic day as though the end justifies the means. Restoration and the Futility of Empty Religious Rituals and Holidays: Mankind has consistently thought of ways to earn God’s acceptance by his own performance. Men came to think of their spiritual relationship with God only in terms of externals. They thought that just by observing certain rules and regulations, performing certain rituals, keeping certain holidays, and speaking certain words, they could stay in favor with God. One of the ongoing problems with many Pastors each year is their willingness to bow to the pressures of the congregations and teach what is expected of them about these pagan holidays. Of course the Pastors are pleased with the large number of people who attend church at Christmas and Easter. The Lord set people straight concerning this misconception in the words of the Prophets. He let them know that He despised their ritualistic worship and empty sacrifices. Amos 5:21-23 ESV “I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. (22) Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. (23) Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. He let them know that He despised their mock solemnity. Solemnity is the state or quality of being serious and dignified. A Solemnity of the Church is a principal holy day in the liturgical calendar, usually commemorating an event in the life of Jesus. I will be posting more giving a time-line of events and Biblical proof that our Lord died on a Wednesday and raised on a Saturday and is connection of the Feast of Passover. What believer, after seriously researching Easter, would ever believe that God would be pleased of us accepting and celebrating our Lord's death and resurrection on a pagan holiday of a false goddess? Look up "the origin of Easter on search engine. I will give history on next study. The WORDS we hear, receive and speak are tied to life or death.
The WORDS we hear, receive and are tied to us receiving or not receiving wisdom. Proverbs 4:3-4 ESV When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, (4) he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. Proverbs 4:5-9 ESV Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. (6) Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. (7) The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. (8) Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. (9) She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.” Proverbs 4:10 ESV Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. in Prov.4:3-10 we see how life and wisdom are both intertwined with WORDS. In this case we are speaking about the Word of God and His commands. Get wisdom, Get the Word, and Get understanding, and don't forsake it. The Word of God is the way for us to get wisdom and understanding. We live in a day when Christians go after many things with a passion. Many live for their next religious experience, or anointing, or healing, or etc. etc. etc. I am not saying these things are wrong in themselves, but the Word tells us what to seek first before we seek after gifts, anointings, or other spiritual experiences. We are to seek to get wisdom and with all our getting or seeking we should go after understanding or insight. (See Pro. 4:7). When we get wisdom and understanding we will have the reward that goes with them (See Pro. 4:8-10). God's Justice is as holy as His love and His righteousness.
The world and the church have corrupted a lot of truths when it comes to the Scriptures and the character of God, but none greater than His love and His justice. Because of His character God must love us. He is compelled to do so because God is love and he cannot operate outside of His character. The same is true about His justice. As much as God loves us, He hates sin equally and must judge it. Just because He must judge sin and the sinners does not mean that His love stops. Remember that He tells us to love our enemies. This has two truths tied to it. #1 is that we will have enemies. Our enemies are not those whom we have a falling out with or someone who did us wrongly. The Biblical enemies God is speaking about is anyone who is lost. Lost people are attackers of the cross and the work of our Lord Jesus Christ and therefore enemies to the cross and enemies to God. Therefore, they are our enemies. But we are to love them. Genesis 18:25-26 ESV Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?" (26) And the LORD said, "If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake." Closely related to the Holiness of God are His RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE. To simplify, it might be said that: God's Righteousness is His Holiness in action. God’s Justice is His Righteousness in rule and government. God is a Righteous God, because He acts at all times in complete conformity with His Holy Nature and Will. God's Righteousness is Immutable, He is a Rock. God is referred to as a Rock five times in Deut.32. His Righteousness never changes, His Justice is unfailing; He is faithful in dealing with His people according to His Nature and His revealed Law and Covenants. He will punish in awful judgment as well as reward bountifully, but always according to His promises and covenants. He is completely above any unjust or deceitful treatment, all His ways are "upright." Our Righteous and Holy God is also a God of Mercy and Forbearance, but He will not act inconsistent with His Holiness. In His Righteousness He made a way to justify the sinner, by sending His Infinite Son to be, once for all, the Perfect Sacrifice for sin. Since the last Adam, (Jesus Christ), lived in perfect obedience to the Holy will of the Father, God could bestow upon the believer Christ's Righteousness without Him ceasing to be Righteous in judgment. The believing sinner becomes righteous in Christ, at the same time God's Righteousness has not been compromised. In the New Testament we find our Lord walking out all five of the Eph.4:11 ministry gifts. He was the great Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Pastor, and the Teacher. He said that He came not to do away with the Old Testament Law but to fulfill it.
Therefore, along with His work in the New Testament as Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher the Lord also showed us His work as the Old Testament Prophet, Priest, and King. Our Lord's work falls under three headings: (1) His work as an O.T. PROPHET (2) His work as an O.T. PRIEST, and (3) His work as an O.T. KING. Why is this important? Because as believers we carry the same anointing and the same work as our Lord. This includes His anointing from the offices of the Old Testament Law. The Lord said that all He did we will do. We know in Rev.1:6 that we are kings and priests. Revelation 1:6 ESV and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Now with that thought, go back and read these Scriptures listed below and see yourself in them. Then look for all the ways our Lord manifested Himself in the works as Prophet, Priest, and King in the Gospels and then say, Lord, I can do this in and through You. John 5:17 ESV But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I am working." John 4:34 ESV Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work." John 9:4-5 ESV We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. (5) As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 17:4 ESV I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. Becoming a Christian and serving God is not about us. It started with God and it ends with God, and in the middle it is all about God.
It is for His name that we live and serve. OUR SINS WERE FORGIVEN FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: 1 John 2:12 ESV I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake. FOR HIS "NAME'S SAKE" WE LABOR AND FAINT NOT: Revelation 2:1-3 ESV “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. (2) “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. (3) I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. 3 John 1:7 ESV For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. HATED FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: Matthew 10:21-22 ESV Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, (22) and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:9-10 ESV “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. (10) And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. LEAVING EVERYTHING FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: Matthew 19:29 ESV And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. SUFFERING FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: Acts 9:16 ESV For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” APOSTLES FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: Romans 1:5 ESV through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, |
